Marcus Franz

Marcus Franz is a Managing Consultant at Accso GmbH and has been immersed in the world of software development and consulting for over 10 years. Throughout this time, he has taken on various roles, consistently supporting our clients in designing and implementing complex, long-lasting software solutions.

As a developer, Marcus values versatility over specific technologies. Whether working on the front-end or back-end, with Java or .Net, Angular or Vue, his focus lies in leveraging the strengths of the chosen tools, establishing clear design structures, and adhering to fundamental software engineering principles and concepts.

In his architectural work, Marcus specializes in analyzing existing systems and designing new, complex, domain-driven systems on a large scale, as well as smaller-scale applications. Over the years, he has increasingly focused on Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and domain-specific architecture.

The phrase “Knowledge – the only asset that grows when shared” holds special significance for Marcus. Sharing knowledge is a passion of his, reflected in his role as co-community leader of Accso’s Architecture Community  alongside Stefan Richter. Together, they foster networking and knowledge exchange on relevant and cutting-edge architectural topics.

Beyond Accso, Marcus frequently shares his expertise in software architecture and DDD at conferences and meetups as a speaker, and as a guest lecturer at universities. As a trainer, he conducts customized workshops, delivering in-depth DDD knowledge through hands-on exercises.

Since early 2023, Marcus has been organizing the Domain-Driven Design Rhein/Main Meetup, further extending his commitment to community engagement and knowledge sharing.
