Success Story

DUSS

The German Rail-Road Handling Company (DUSS) handles the loading of intermodal loading units throughout Germany and Switzerland. There was immense potential for digitalization within this project.

What was the Task?

The German Rail-Road Handling Company (DUSS) manages the loading of over 2.2 million loading units annually across Germany and Switzerland. The existing process of logging these units was analog and paper-based, creating an opportunity for digital transformation.

What did we do?

In collaboration with DUSS employees, Accso designed, developed, and implemented a comprehensive app to streamline the recording of incoming transport units. The app, distributed to DUSS’ tablets via the Google Play Store, ensures automatic updates whenever changes are made. The recorded data is managed by a robust backend hosted on AWS cloud infrastructure.
In addition to the app, the Accso team designed and implemented an Angular webapp, enabling control centers to access and manage digital logs efficiently.

How does this benefit the customer?

DUSS now benefits from complete and transparent documentation of both accepted and rejected loading units, enabling centralized monitoring of the nationwide loading processes. The elimination of paper-based logs has resulted in substantial time and cost savings. Additionally, photos of defects can be immediately linked to corresponding logs and stored in the unit's digital history. The app also provides step-by-step guidance to users throughout the loading process, enhancing efficiency and reducing errors.
