DUSS
What was the Task?
Deutsche Umschlaggesellschaft Schiene-Straße (DUSS) operates the loading of intermodal loading units throughout Germany and Switzerland. The logging of the more than 2.2 million loading units loaded per year was ripe for digitization and to replace the analogue paper-based process.
What did we do?
Accso conceived, designed and developed an app in collaboration with DUSS employees that supports the user in recording incoming loading units. The app was distributed to DUSS tablets via the Google Play Store and automatically updated when changes were made. The backend manages the recorded data and was provided on AWS Cloud infrastructure.
In addition to the app, the Accso team designed and implemented an Angular web app that makes the digital logs available to the control centers.
How does this benefit the customer?
DUSS now has complete documentation of accepted and rejected loading units and can track the nationwide loading process at its headquarters. The paper logs no longer need to be requested for evidence, which saves a considerable amount of time and money. Photos of defects can also be immediately assigned to the corresponding log and are saved in the history of the respective loading unit. Users of the app are also guided and supported through the entire loading process.
