Prof. Dr. Markus Voß
Markus Voß studied computer science and mathematics at the University of Bonn and received his doctorate in computer science from the University of Karlsruhe (TH) in 1997. After many years as a software developer, IT consultant and manager at Capgemini sd&m, he founded Accso - Accelerated Solutions GmbH with Jürgen Artmann in 2010, which he still manages today and which now has branches in Cape Town, Darmstadt, Frankfurt, Cologne and Munich. In 2022, together with Aurelius Lie, he founded academy.A, a knowledge channel that combines free knowledge from active research and software engineering projects.
In addition to his work as an entrepreneur, Markus Voß has held an honorary professorship in software engineering at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences since 2018, where he had previously worked as a lecturer since 2011. He is a member of the local Industrial Advisory Board of the Institute for Applied Informatics Darmstadt (aiDa), where he has also been Chairman since December 2023. He has also been a member of the Board of Directors of aiDa since then.
Markus Voß was a member of the Executive Committee of the German Informatics Society (GI) from 2008-2010 and 2012-2013 and a founding member of the GI's Software Architecture Section. His scientific work focuses on software architecture, service-oriented architecture, IT modernization and agile software development.
